10 Amazing Facts About Dates


A soft, ripe organic date is comparable to one of the best ‘caramel’ candies on the planet, and for that reason, many people assume dates have low to no nutritional value.

1) Maintenance of Eye Health

Dates contain lutein, zeaxantine, and vitamin A, which is why they are referred to as “eye vitamins”. Lutein, zeaxantine and vitamin A are especially important for the eye retina and macula, which can wear out with age, and of course, lack of eye-protecting nutrients in the diet.
