Edwards not only ran seven marathons in seven days, but he averaged a record time (for his age group) of 3:22.13. Not to shabby, eh?
Here’s what Edwards had to say the the Gloucestershire Echo about his amazing feat:
“I was really pleased to do it in an average time under 3 hours 25. The previous average record was 3.40 or something, so I thought if I gout under 3.30 for all them I’d be in with a chance.
“I’d like to thank my wife Teresa, who’s always there to help and support me. She hands me my drinks and it’s a real team effort to get me round.”
Edwards, whose goal is to run 1,000 marathons in his lifetime, is in the process of raising money for Kate’s Home Nursing, which provides at-home care for patients with terminal illnesses. If you’re interested in donating to the good cause, head on over to
