The second annual Trail Running Conference, the Estes Trail Ascent, takes place at the Stanley Hotel, Estes Park, October 9-11, 2014. The Conference is a celebration of Trail running in the USA, and has workshops and sessions for Trail Race Directors and Trail Runners. The inaugural even took place in June 2013, and drew just under 100 attendees for the 2 days. This year’s event has grown to 3 days, with Day 1 for Trail race Directors only, and Days 2 & 3 for Trail Runners.
The Conference features a prize draw to raise funds and awareness for ATRA (American Trail running Association). ATRA was formed in mid-1996 as a Colorado not for profit corporation to serve the trail and mountain running community. Their mission is to represent and promote trail and mountain running in the USA. Each ticket purchase will directly benefit ATRA and help the organization continue to develop and promote Trail Running in the USA!
Tickets are just $5 each, and anyone can enter, even if you can’t attend the Conference – for the 2013 Conference we had more than 60 prizes, and prizes for the 2014 ATRA prize draw are already attracting attention and growing in number.
Prizes featured so far include:
10 pairs of Balega socks – the market leader in the running specialty market for performance, excellence, harmony, creativity, and community.
5 sets of Icespikes – the ultimate traction device for ice, snow, & mud; keep running outside all year round – as used by Michele Yates & Nancy Hobbs
