Running blog: how was your weekend running?
Tapering for Edinburgh marathon? Going for a parkrun PB? Come and tell us what the weekend brought you and your running shoes
The promise of a touch of summer that this weekend brought seems to have faded again this morning – at least here in a grey, gloomy London. Did you get some vitamin D on your runs this weekend?
I did a particularly brutal track session on Saturday (8x1km reps with 200m recovery), which left me wiped out – though I’m also blaming recovery from tonsillitis on that one. The result was a slog of a nine-mile run which felt like an ultramarathon yesterday.
I hope I regain some zip in my legs, as I’m doing the Bupa 10k next bank holiday Monday (anyone else taking part?), followed six days later by thePoole 10k. Note to self: really must space out races a bit better. Or join some kind of Race Enterers’ Anonymous support group …
